Police interrupt Southern California elder scam operation; 2 plead guilty

Two suspects, Shaohua Sun and Yanwen Gu, pleaded guilty to felony conspiracy to commit elder abuse after Ventura police disrupted a scam operation targeting an elderly man. The suspects pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including special allegations. Shaohua Sun surrendered $25,000 as part of the plea.
