Michigan Democrats propose package seeking to legalize assisted suicide

Michigan Democrats propose a package of bills to legalize medically assisted suicide for certain terminally ill adults, allowing them to request medication to end their life with certain requirements and protections. The proposal would create a Death with Dignity Act and protect doctors and others from liability if they follow the law. Michigan would join other states in adopting laws allowing physician-assisted suicide.
