Chicago teen who pushed for parents’ release from ICE custody dies of cancer

Kevin González, an 18-year-old Chicago teen with terminal colon cancer, died after reuniting with his parents in Mexico. His parents had been taken into ICE custody in Arizona after crossing the US border without permission to see him. González had advocated for their release so they could be with him during his illness.
