E.ON agrees to buy Ovo in deal to create UK’s biggest energy supplier

E.ON has agreed to buy Ovo, creating the UK's biggest energy supplier serving about 9.6 million households. The deal is subject to regulatory approval and would overtake Octopus as the market leader. The acquisition combines two major energy groups in the UK.
