Santa Monica to ticket drivers blocking bike lanes

Santa Monica is launching an automated enforcement program to ticket drivers who block bike lanes, with a $93 fine. The program started a 60-day warning period on May 1 using cameras on parking enforcement vehicles. Drivers who stop or park in bike lanes will receive tickets in the mail.
