Trump official opens door to gas tax suspension

The Trump administration is open to suspending the federal gasoline tax amid high pump prices, with Energy Secretary Chris Wright stating they are considering all ideas to lower costs. The average US price for regular gas has hit $4.52 per gallon, up from just under $3 when the war began. A suspension would require an act of Congress and would only shave 10 to 16 cents per gallon.
