Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb stated that the hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship is nearing the end of its transmission period and will not spread like COVID-19. The passengers are being evacuated from the ship. Hantavirus has a different transmission pattern compared to COVID-19.
