General Motors to pay $12.75m settlement for selling drivers’ location and data

General Motors agreed to pay $12.75m to resolve claims of illegally selling Californians' location and driving data. The automaker had previously reassured drivers that it would not sell their data. The settlement was announced by California Attorney General Rob Bonta.
