US removes all enriched uranium from Venezuela reactor, ships materials to SC in major nuclear security op

The US removed all enriched uranium from a legacy research reactor in Venezuela and shipped it to South Carolina for processing and reuse. The operation was completed by the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration with international cooperation. The material will be processed to obtain low-enriched uranium for America's nuclear renaissance.
