DNA identifies four more crew members of doomed Franklin expedition

Archaeologists have identified four more crew members of Captain Sir John Franklin's doomed 1846 Arctic expedition using DNA analysis. The expedition aimed to cross the Northwest Passage but became icebound, resulting in the deaths of all 129 crew members. The findings were reported in two papers published in the Journal of Archaeological Science and the Polar Record.
