Heat is set to blast much of California, topping 100 degrees in some areas

A heat wave is expected to hit much of California, with temperatures possibly reaching triple digits in some areas earlier than ever before. The sweltering weather will last for the next few days. This heat wave may bring extremely high temperatures to parts of the state.
