Elections 2026 live: counting under way after votes in England, Scotland and Wales

The 2026 election results are being counted in England, Scotland, and Wales, with the first results in England expected between midnight and 2am BST. Scottish and Welsh parliament results are due from midday. The early hours of Friday morning will produce only a handful of declarations but they could shape the mood of the entire elections.
