Man dies after being hit by Metro train in L.A.'s Highland Park neighborhood

A man believed to be about 60 years old was struck and killed by a Metro train in Los Angeles' Highland Park neighborhood on Thursday morning. The incident occurred near North Avenue 61 and Figueroa Street around 7:15 a.m. First responders were sent to the scene.
