Rabid beaver attacks boy fishing at New Jersey lake, prompting health officials to warn residents

A rabid beaver attacked an 8-year-old boy at Lake Henry in Mahwah, New Jersey, prompting health officials to warn residents of potential exposure. The boy was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment and individuals who were bitten are receiving treatment. The Mahwah Township Health Department confirmed the beaver tested positive for rabies.
