Supporters are pushing to keep this historic Southern California airport open

The Santa Monica Airport, one of America's oldest operating airports, is slated to close on December 31, 2028, but supporters are pushing to keep it open. The airport first opened in 1923 as Clover Field. Supporters made a pitch to city leaders to reconsider the closure plans.
