Met sets up specialist unit as antisemitic hate crimes in London hit two-year high

The Metropolitan police are deploying 100 extra officers to protect Jewish communities in London due to a rise in antisemitic hate crimes, which hit a two-year high in April. A community protection team will be set up to provide more consistent protection. This team will combine neighbourhood policing with counter-terrorism capabilities.
