Ohio brothers who posed as Middle Eastern royalty receive lengthy sentence for $21M fraud scheme

Two Ohio brothers, Zubair and Muzzammil Al Zubair, were sentenced to 24 and 23 years in prison for a $21 million fraud scheme. They posed as Middle Eastern royalty and carried out multiple schemes to steal money and property from victims. The brothers also bribed a former East Cleveland mayoral aide, Michael Smedley, who was sentenced to over eight years in prison.
