Tuning out: Why many Americans are sick of the news – especially Trump news

Many Americans are avoiding news about President Donald Trump due to news fatigue and the overwhelming amount of negative news. According to a poll, about six in 10 people try to avoid news about Trump. The poll also finds that 57% of people avoid news about national politics.
