UK defence firm Ultra Electronics to pay £15m after SFO bribery investigation

British defence company Ultra Electronics agreed to pay £15m after a Serious Fraud Office (SFO) investigation found it failed to prevent bribery in public sector contracts in Algeria and Oman. The deferred prosecution was approved by the high court in 2023, following a self-report in 2018 after corruption allegations emerged in Algerian media.
