Sabastian Sawe receives hero’s welcome in Kenya after sub-two hour marathon feat

Sabastian Sawe, the first man to run an official marathon in under two hours, returned to his home village in Eldoret, Kenya, as a hero after winning the London Marathon with a time of 1h 59m 30s. He was greeted by family, friends, and the community, and traveled on a Kenyan military plane reserved for special operations.
