Czech energy group hints at combined bid for British Steel and Speciality Steel UK

Sev.en Global Investments, a Czech energy group owned by billionaire Pavel Tykač, is proposing a combined bid for British Steel and Speciality Steel UK to create Britain’s largest steelmaker. The company plans to invest £100m in its Cardiff electric arc steelworks and potentially hundreds of millions more in the UK under its 7 Steel brand.
