Democrats coalesce around Platner as Mills exits Maine Senate race

Democrats are uniting behind progressive candidate Graham Platner in the Maine Senate race after Governor Janet Mills, a term-limited Democrat, withdrew her struggling bid. Mills had been recruited by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as a top candidate to challenge Republican Sen. Susan Collins.
