Senate rejects House's FISA bill, pitches 45-day extension ahead of looming deadline
The Senate rejected the House's three-year extension of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and instead proposed a 45-day temporary extension to allow further reform discussions. The House had included a ban on central bank digital currencies in its proposal, which the Senate deemed unrelated and nonviable.
