Delta flight forced to divert after passenger goes into labor and delivers baby midair

A woman gave birth mid-flight on Delta flight 478 from Atlanta to Portland on April 24, with assistance from crew and two emergency medical technicians (EMTs) aboard. The flight declared an emergency, landed safely, and both mother and newborn received medical care. A similar incident occurred earlier this month on a Caribbean Airlines flight.
