Feds enter hunt for missing California grandpa linked to crypto fortune

The FBI and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the disappearance of 74-year-old Nai Ping Hou, a California grandfather linked to cryptocurrency wealth, as authorities suspect kidnapping and fraud. Hou’s bank accounts were drained of over $1 million through unauthorized transactions, including gold and crypto purchases, before his disappearance in March 2025.
