Mali defence minister killed amid flurry of insurgent attacks

Mali's defense minister, Sadio Camara, was killed in a car bomb attack at his residence in Kati, part of coordinated assaults by insurgents including the West African al-Qaida affiliate. The government declared two days of mourning following the incident.
