Fundraiser held for family of LASD deputy who died during Baker to Vegas relay

A fundraiser was held in Walnut for the family of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy Levi Vargas, who died on March 28 after suffering a medical emergency during the 2026 Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay race. The 30-year-old deputy had served for two years before his death.
