UK schoolboys’ fatal hike remembered in Black Forest 90 years on

On 17 April 1936, 27 London schoolboys and their teacher were rescued from a deadly snowstorm in the Black Forest by German villagers, an event later exploited by Nazis for propaganda. Ninety years later, relatives and villagers commemorated the tragedy with a ceremony at St Laurentius church.
