Former North Carolina police officer accused of threatening mass shooting at New Orleans festival

A former North Carolina police officer, Christopher Gillum, was arrested in Florida for allegedly threatening a mass shooting at a New Orleans festival. Authorities stated he planned to commit the attack and then die by suicide, but confirmed there are no direct threats to Louisiana festivals. Gillum was detained using license plate reader technology and a handgun and ammunition were recovered from his hotel room.
