David Scott, longtime Georgia Democrat, dies at 80

Rep. David Scott (D-Ga.), a groundbreaking Democrat who served in Congress for over two decades, has died at 80. He was first elected in 2002 and became the first Black lawmaker to chair the House Agriculture Committee in 2021.
