EU’s top court finds Hungary’s anti-LGBTQ+ law in breach of key values

The EU's highest court ruled Hungary's 2021 anti-LGBTQ+ law discriminatory and contrary to the EU's core values, including freedom of expression and anti-discrimination principles. The law, which restricts LGBTQ+ content in schools and primetime TV, faces an early challenge under Hungary's incoming prime minister Péter Magyar.
