NSW electric buses, trains and light rail services to run entirely on renewable energy from 2027 in $1.9bn deal

New South Wales will transition electric buses, trains, and light rail to 100% renewable energy by 2027 under a $1.9 billion, seven-year contract with Snowy Energy. The deal, announced by the Minns government, will power public transport operations until 2034.
